jesus = homeboy

Church is a funny thing, really. Made up of forgiven sinners. If I have ever been passionate or dedicated to anything or anyone, it would be to Jesus Christ. Now, I am not dedicated to an organized religion or to the congregation of people. Honestly, I have nothing to do with religion. Can't stand it. Don't like it. However, I am all about relationships and knowing the one that I live for. Jesus didn't come to tell us all the rules that we need to follow because Moses did that thousands of years before Jesus hit the earth. Religious people killed Jesus off but that wasn't the end. With people, I'm always on the edge if they're going to love me today or hate me today. People change, mood swings, I guess. But God doesn't change. I could be a prostitute in NY, had 5 abortions, infected with AIDs, or curse God's name everyday but that will not change the fact that he loves me. What does love mean? Love isn't in a word(s), it isn't in a song. Love is sacrifice, love has to do with covenants, love is life-giving and life-changing. I can say this with absolute certainty, we are not capable of love without Jesus in our lives and hearts. Why? Take a look at Jesus' life. Do you compare to his life and his forgiving ability? None of us can, unless we know him. If you hold on to your life, you will lose it. If you give up your life for Him, you will find it.
