As usual, not much time to write. But since, in an impressive publicity stunt, my opponent has logged a new record of the most comments on any LJ post in the Eupheme crew, it's about time I posted my own campaign platform.

As your new Student Body Representative, I will:

- surveye y'all's needes, fairlie and comprehensive

- conveye them in voce focused and intensive

- speke out against the 5-0 who've been tossed in-
to our halles (hopefully in league with Austen)

As the representative of the student body as a whole in dealings with fellow officers and with administrators, I will advocate in order to:

- make detentione tyme served less eternal

- kepe admin's noses oot of your LiveJournal

- kepe external authorities external (please elide the first syllable of authorities. I'm strapped for time, what do you want.)

The promise of a film/book critic column in the Negability Times upon my election still stands. I can no longer promise lanyard and beads, but if I'm elected I'll get a group together to go on Cooper's vision quest and celebrate.

If you're worried that I won't have the extra time to devote to this job, I assure you that my internship liaison so supports my campaign that she has offered to reduce my hours slightly if I'm elected.

I of course endorse Jane Austen for President (nothing against you, Howard, but I think it's important to push on getting the investigators OUT of Eupheme fast.) I endorse Conrad for Secretary/Treasurer, and offer him my data management services wherever needed. I continue to endorse Francie Hodgson for VP as per my initial promise, but want to assert that Eliza Phelp would make a fine VP as well, and admire her ingenuity in campaign tactics. I can't in good conscience support either sports candidate, as I've never had time to play a sport in my life and generally avoid gym.

Regarding my opponent's campaign: as I have yet to get a direct response to the points I've made previously, I'd like to turn your attention to an open letter I'm sending him about the incidents of harassment leading up to the attack on a faculty member during the school dance:

Dear Mr. Marlowe:

We the undersigned write because of our concern regarding recent disclosures of points in Jeff Chaucer's LJ, summarizing the discussion of the harassing anonymous posts on various Eupheme journals. These minutes indicate that the anonymous poster knew, by late September 2005, that something disastrous would occur at the dance, well before the dance and before you even sought the Administration's authority to burn copies of the Negability Times, and that you were deliberately manipulating intelligence to justify your pre-emptive attacks on William Shakespeare.

As a result of these concerns, we would ask that you respond to the following questions:

1. Do you or anyone in your administration dispute the accuracy of the LJ post?
2. Were arrangements being made, including the recruitment of allies, before the violence on Mr. Roberts was taken? Did you or anyone in your cheer squad obtain administrative commitment to increase dance security prior to this time?
3. Was there an effort to bring up bad memories for Aphra in order to help with the justification for your smear campaign, as the minutes indicate?
4. At what point in time did you first become aware of the anonymous poster?
5. Was there a coordinated effort between the anonymous poster and the anonymous attacker to "fix" the intelligence and facts around your policy, as the discussion seems to hint?

As students and as the children of taxpayers, we believe it is imperative that our student body be able to trust our government and our Student Body Rep when you make representations and statements regarding our school engaging in potential violence. As a result, we would ask that you publicly respond to these questions as promptly as possible.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
