GEN FIC: The Silence Between by Catsmeow

 Back in September I wrote a brief slash fic under my Cowardly Lion pseudonym wherein Jack and Daniel were stranded - and had been for some time. I've been thinking of expanding that story, "Of Silence Ache", into the full tale of how they got there and what they've been up to since arriving. What I haven't decided is whether I want to keep it as

Slash it. This was good, but the scenario would make better slash, I'm thinkin'.

I'm leaning toward the slash version myself, but I have quite a few friends who are not slashers and I'd like them to be able to read it too. It was angstier with the slash because that has the jealousy/ insecurity angle to it.

If I was really ambitious I'd write both versions, perhaps simultaneously. :)

Write the slash one since that's the way you're heading. Then, after you finish it, go back and write the gen version. Both groups are happy and it would be a wonderful exercise, too.

I've got another stranded fic plot bunny out there too. Maybe I'll make this one slash and that one gen. ::sigh:: Soooooo many dang bunnies. If only that pesky "forced to work for a living" thing wasn't taking up so much valuable writing time...
