Christmas was okay. I got up, opened presents and went back to sleep. I got books, movies and a calendar. I also got a keyboard, but it didn't have the power cord so I haven't used it yet. That night I went to Sammy's for a dessert thing, which was fun. I rode with Dylan and his friend Amoree (I don't know how to really spell it, so I won't even try) and I like them both a lot. I did fall on my face leaving my house. I haven't truly fallen in a while, so that was exciting. Except I screwed up my shoes!
I went to work on the 26th, my boss was really mean for no reason! I need to tell them that I can't work the same hours because of school, but he was already yelling at me for no reason so I didn't feel like bringing it up. On the plus side, there was candy. I think I don't want to tell them I can't work because I don't want to face the fact that I'll be in school full time next semester. Grah.
David came over the night of the 27th. He gave me wonderful presents! I got a space heater, a stocking with candy included, things to blow up and Love Actually which my parents hadn't been able to find because they are failures! Teehee. So that night we watched Love Actually. David claims he liked it. But we all know how much David lies. Went to bed pretty early, because the 28th was a very big day indeed!
We got up at 9:30 (meaning I got out of bed after 10) to get all prettied up to meet his mom and his stepfather, James. We got there a little after noon and went to lunch. James seemed surprised that I didn't have any facial piercings. After lunch we went back to their house to look at pictures (AWW!) and watch his mom's skydiving video. I was really, really, really nervous going up... but I think it went well. His mom is really sweet. James is just funny. David was a really cute little kid. Its kinda funny that his mom really did show me baby pictures, because I told David I would only go if I could see embarrassing pictures. Hah. I win! We also watched the beginning of A Prairie Home Companion. James was impressed that I knew what NPR was. Also funny. We headed back a little after three to be home in time for dinner at MEDIEVAL TIMES!!1
It was supposed to be me, David, Anya, my brother, my mom and my dad but Anya is deathly ill so she couldn't come. Margie came instead and hilarity ensued. We went into the dungeon and saw super fun torture devices, saw a giant owl and after a group effort, bought me a rose. Margie wanted to buy it for me and give it to David to give to me? I don't know. But that was a nice surprise. The food was okay. There was way too much of it and the soup definitely had spaghetti o's in it. It was so much fun! We got the red knight and he was soooooo hot! But he was lazy and evil and didn't throw me a rose. What a loser. Good thing I already had one. Definitely worth every penny. I want to go there for my 21st birthday. I'll get knighted and they'll announce that its my birthday during the show and people will buy me fishbowl margaritas. Then I will flirt with the knights after the show. Sounds like a marvelous plan to me! That night we rented movies. David and I watched Slither, which I think he really did like. I wanna be a podunk whore!
David planned to leave Friday night. So he did. That day we watched Harold and Maude and Robin Hood (the cartoon) which was exciting. David's mom likes Cat Stevens and we talked about Harold and Maude briefly. So, Harold and Maude is still good... Robin Hood not so much. Its fun to watch to remember things, like having a crush on a fox (teehee, furry!) but it is kinda dumb. That night we went to Saigon Cafe for dinner. The food was pretty good, but the drink were amazing! Sweetest, most mixed up thai iced tea ever and most delicious mango smoothie! It tasted kinda like a bubblegum mango smoothie, which sounds gross but is actually wonderful. Ben and Caitlin from Chick Fil A were there, but I didn't place them until after they'd left. So I felt like a bitch, hooray. Remember that one time Ben almost came over to my house? That was funny. David left. I rented more movies. The Devil Wears Prada was okay. Mostly made me want some clothes. Since Friday I have slept, ran errands, finished Running with Scissors, gone to breakfast and been bored.
Taylor was in town for 2 days, so we went to breakfast. Sammy, Taylor, Sarah, Chelsea and I went to Crescent Moon. I'd never eaten there before, and I don't think I'm going to on purpose. Pastries A Go Go is SO much better. Our tea tasted like coffee, because omg it had been made in a coffee machine! Haha. And my french toast tasted like liquor. Applewood smoked bacon > all other bacon. Sammy, Taylor and Sarah came over to my house after breakfast. We watched my Borat sneak peak DVD thing, since none of them have seen the movie, and Sarah fixed my rubix cube. Taylor has chin fuzz! And wont be my prom date since he left me forever. : (
Running with Scissors was good. Crazy. I recommend it. Most disturbing sex scene ever. Ew gross.
