*Yukio is in the same year as Ayako, and takes the same classes. He sits on the other side of the lecture hall and when class ends stands and leaves through the door at the top-left. He is stoppable in the hallway.*

*Indeed, you will be stopped. Ayako gathers her books and supplies and she carries them in her arms. She looks around for Yukio while she finds him.*

*Yukio hears her voice and stops in the hallway. Students change paths and walk round him, and he's quiet. He knows that tone of voice. She wants to talk about something. He turns, and he's clutching his satchel and smiling.*

I need to talk to you about something. May we go to the special place?

Oh, I see. I follow you to the ends of the earth, so lead the way.

*Ayako nods. There's no need for further words or instructions. She turns her heel and goes to where the special place is.*

*Their special place is a bench, secluded from the rest of the academy. It lies on the isle to which the bridge connects, and past that isle is another where the North School Submarine floats in the ocean. It's cut off from the main path by woodland and overlooks the ocean, above the cliffs.*

*Yukio sits down and rests his arm on the back.*

*Ayako sits down next to Yukio before a very serious stare becomes apparent.*

*Yukio is thoughtful. She sounds... knowledgeable? Why else would she ask?*

*Ayako takes out her PDA and scrolls to the post Daitokuji made that she hacked into.*

*Yukio looks at it. His eyes widen, but then he realises what this means and acquires a spine. He smiles at Ayako and stretches against the back of the bench.*

So I didn't win the duel. So what? If you want a straight answer, you should just say so.

*Yukio hands the PDA back. His voice is cold.*
