The Subject Was Movies: L'Atalante and Titanic

While I was viewing the movie, L'Atalante, at Hulu (the Final Film playlist is currently up, and I can recommend all the suggested movies, and they are free for the time being), I began to think that I had seen some of this before. Some of the imagery was very familiar. Then, in the swimming sequence, it came to me.

It will be nice to see a romance/boat movie with a happy ending. Oh! I Know Where I'm Going had a happy ending. I still can't believe that was Dame Wendy Hiller. Did you see the Titanic recently in 3D?

For a moment, I had to think, how is I Know Where I'm Going a boat picture?

The Whirlpool! And the boat ride to the Captain of Industry's island. Our dauntless heroine fell in love with a real captain, a Navy one. Her Captain of Industry was a Fake. I hadn't thought of that before.

I haven't seen Titanic in 3D yet. For that I need a long, cool night, a big bucket of popcorn, and a big Coke. And lots of bathroom breaks, if I drink all that Coke.
