I cannot belive they turned the guy I liked most... Mr. Comforting and reassuring why would he work in a place like this Boyd... into that monster!
You know, in a way, The King of Conspiracies was the Biggest Doll of them all. Everyone changes personalities on this show; and he had the biggest personality change and without the benefit of the Dollhouse Chair.
I am wondering about Alpha too.
Yeah, Alpha is the Ying to Echo's Yang. I don't recall that Boyd had much to do with him in this series. Maybe there is a clue buried somewhere about that. Alpha is still the Wild Card. And I am beginning to think that Whiskey might be too.
Do you think Whiskey was really a woman scorned.
I am still in the dark about the original personality of Whiskey and Dr. Saunders. Did she have one?
Back in episode 2? (I refuse to go back and look, those first three episodes were so NOT Good), Whiskey tried to seduce Topher to get some power and control back in her life. It didn't work. General Mme DeWitt insisted that Whiskey was a sleeper doll when she killed Bennett, but I don't think so. There was too much going on.
And how ironic, did Whiskey know that Boyd was in charge? Is that why she slept and formed an attachment to him? To get back some power and control? And when did Whiskey become Clyde? Were Clyde and Boyd getting it on? None of this is answered.
And for Boyd, I still don't know who or what he was. The head of Rossum, but the medical knowledge and other things aren't really explained. Based on the NBC Late Show Kerfuffle and other experiences in the Corporate world, I don't think that the head of a corporation really knows what his corporation does or how it does it. Business School is a Mind Numbing and Morality Dampening Process much like one of Topher's Disintegrating Psyche Ray Guns.
Boyd is still a Mystery to me. Haha! They should have had a Doll named Mystery.
I really loved the Bennet/Caroline backstory. It was so much better than I ever would have thought.
Oh yes, they handled that very nicely. All the ironic callbacks and touches to the Dollhouse and its treatments, chair, personality changes, and fanaticism were very well done and amusing.
