Fistly I want to say that Meg and Trent are very believable characters. Meg is an interesting additional characer who you bring to life with her headstrong attitude and basic 'OI CHAS GO A GIVE JOHN SOME LOVE' sort of thing. I like her a lot.
again I want to point out that your attention to detail i fantasic, it makes your stories so interesing, really gives them life beyond just a basic angsty fic would do. By adding the little seemingly insignificant scene with Chas drinking with the women gives us a little more insight as to how reckless his attitue really is.
As far as the fic goes, I want to severly harm Chas. SO much. He's a little jerk off and I want to slap him. Hahah, sorry, had to get that out. I can perfectly see it though,if Chas went out and drank and partyied for four years it would easily happen, and though he's a very dislikeable character in this fic you can't help but notice this devotion to John, ven though he screws it up, even though John screws it up, even though it doesn't seem like there's much point to them as a couple (except for the sex- which is yummy by the way) you can tell, that there's love, I'm moving on to the next chapter now because I cant be bothered to review twice so I'm making it extra long (Lazy Kym!) but from the way chas reacs to John stalking off the devotion to him is obvious.
I'm eagerly awaiting John's reaction to what really happened at Trents (trust John to asume the worst of Chas! Typical!), I'm guessing it's going to be an interesting next chapter! Can't wait!
