This is why today was a BAD day to be in Parramatta...specifically in Westfields.
It seems that the PTBs decided that the newish Greater Union cinema in Parramatta Westfields would be a GREAT place to have a little red carpet premier for the new Zac Efron film,
Charlie St. Cloud. Which means exactly what you think it does. Zac Efron had to come to Parramatta...along with all the screaming teenies and tweenies that just HAD to get the SLIGHTEST glimpse of him so they could scream about it. Most of them got all dressed up, too. Just in case, you know. *lol*
So, I amused myself by taking pictures of all the silliness. ^_^
This is just the first half of the crowd on the side with the easiest access.
Pony Police! XD
Everyone getting ready for the Red Carpet! *lol*
This is what you couldn't see...the crowd on the OTHER side of the barrier.
Everyone waiting with baited (screaming) breath.
We finished our shopping and baled before Z even showed up but I'm rather glad. The volume of the screaming was bad enough without him there, I can only imagine what it would have been like once he arrived. (is having flashbacks to a couple of conventions involving Texans...)
One last thing I found interesting. When we were about halfway home from Parramatta, we were passed by a HUGE shiny black stretch Hummer Limo. Not something you see every day so I have a good guess who the driver had just dropped off. *laugh* Run for the hills, buddy, and don't look back!
