Late Nights & Strange Films

It's late...or rather early Saturday morning. I'm still awake for some unfathomable reason. Marco had a friend over because they were moving some things today. Normally that would not have kept me awake as I can walk away very easily if I am tired enough. But we watched a movie he brought along and while I kind of dozed off and on through parts of it, I still found myself watching it.

The movie was Perfume: The Story of a Murderer. I won't go into detail because it's really something you have to watch for yourself but it's a creepy yet intriguing movie. The filmography is amazing and the story and acting is perfect while set mostly in the drab greys and browns of downtrodden 18th Century France. While I, of course, could have wished for more of the bright costumes that I love from that time period, it really is a movie I would recommend most people should have a look at. I'm sure everyone will take something a little bit different from the film.

So now I am going to go be unconscious for several hours and then go back to cleaning and plotting fabric things in my sewing room. So much to do in so little time. I just wish more of the amazing people I know were coming to Sydney Supanova. You know who you are. :)
