Is the bible teaching submission, complacency?
When they tell you not to covet, does it mean to be okay with your lot, and your status quo.
Are people limiting the bible when they say don't take it too seriously, the latter's merit is in the affective manner in which it placates and quietens the chaos in your heart when you covet
Because I covet. I covet people who had chances they don't deserve. It is possibly exhausting, because all the injustices and unfairness and sadness wears down my soul.
And in the same respect there are people who get tragedies they don't deserve because they didn't write the sins that warranted those tragedies.
To covet is to doubt whether God is just.
To listen to the biblical anecdotes that tell you to work regardless, and find meaning in God is to not question the futility of work no? When they tell you that your boss is now God, and you work for a greater purpose. Why isn't your purpose to worship then? Or run away, sometimes, to a deep forest and hide and recuperate.
Questions that have no answers also tire my soul.
