The Visitor, Five Fingers, State of Play

We watched three DVDs this weekend:

The Visitor
Five Fingers
State of Play

The Visitor was the best of the three. It's about a middle aged widower whose life is no longer very meaningful to him, and the young sweet couple that he befriends and helps. The friendship leads to the man finding new meaning in his life.

The next best of the three was State of Play. It's about a journalist who uncovers a conspiracy. I honestly didn't see that last plot twist coming.

Five Fingers was a movie I needed to watch between my fingers. A Dutch pianist travels from Holland to Morocco to start a humanitarian food program. He is kidnapped by ruthless, violent people who think he has something they want, and they will do anything to force him him to hand it over. I predicted the final plot twist before it was revealed in the movie, but that doesn't mean it isn't brilliant. I liked it the least because the violence was so horrifying.
