In the end, Sam had been the one to wake Jack and shoo him out so she could get showered and dressed. Sam showed up with a cup of coffee and bag of freshly made scones from J,GoB while Jack carried his and Cedric's caffeinated beverages of choice.

"Morning, Cedric," she waved as they crossed the beach, stopping to toe off her sandals and walk barefoot on the sand.

He turns toward her and smiles, finally opening his eyes. "Good morning. How are you both?"

"Good, though I'm not sure how Jack is doing, since it's still relatively early," Sam tilted her head up towards the sun. "He's got your tea, by the way, and there's scones, if you want."

Grinning again, he gets to his feet, picking up his wand at the same time.

"Another late night?"

Sam snickered. "I think it was more the early morning that's causing the problem," smiling widely at the yawning and slightly bleary-eyed Jack.

"So, magic practice. What's on the agenda?" No, Sam didn't remember how to play, but she was getting better.

"Ah, yes, the early morning would be the cause of most sleepiness," Cedric says, bemused. "As for magic, I should probably start with something fairly simple."

So, pointing the wand at the cup of tea, he says, "Accio tea!" And the tea floats over and into Cedric's open hand.

[And off to get breakfast. Be right back.]

And that was enough to finally wake Jack up. He grinned and covered a yawn. "Morning," he said sleepily, walking over to give Cedric a quick kiss. "And there is no agenda," he added, with a stern look at Sam. "This is fun, not a mission."

"A mission?" Cedric smirks at Sam. "I'm a mission?"

"Who said missions can't be fun?" Sam asked, pouting slightly, then she glanced over at Cedric's wand like she wanted to take it apart and see how it worked. "Okay, fine. Fun, right." She slurped her coffee.

"And no, of course you're not a mission, Cedric. Just...I want you to do whatever you need to do."

"I'm only teasing," he tells Sam with a small smile. "So, now let me try this..."

He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a pocket watch. "This was my father's."

And he smashes it with his fist. "Reparo watch," he says, pointing the wand at the broken watch and smiles when it repairs itself.

"Me too. Im sure missions can be a lot of fun." Jack grinned and stepped forward to kiss Sam, exactly as he'd kissed Cedric. "And Cedric, that's incredible." There was defiitely awe in his voice, and his face, as he watched Cedric.

Sam, of course, reached for the watch to inspect it. "Do you mind if I see it?"

"Not at all," he says and passes her the watch.

Sam picked up the watch and looked it over very carefully. "That's incredible, Cedric." She just wasn't sure she trusted it.

Jack squeezed Sam's shoulder, enjoying her reaction as much as the actual magic. "It's magic, Sam. Just like in fairytales. Amazing, isn't it?"

Sam didn't answer, too engrossed in studying the watch. She really should have brought a screwdriver.
