Last night, Cedric slept under the stars.
This morning, the sun was blocked out by the enormous hat that was currently sitting on Cedric's head large enough to block out the sun.
"What in the bloody hell?" he mumbled, sitting up and pushing the hat off his head. He rubbed a hand through his hair and...found his hand covered in the hat. "What?"
Cedric tried several times to remove the hat, even trying a few charms and spells to make the hat disappear. Each time, the hat reappeared, slipping low on his head and almost obscuring his eyes.
"I don't look like much of a wizard with this hat on," he groused, frowning. "I couldn't scare a fly."
With that in mind, Cedric decided the best thing to do would be to hide until this bloody hat went away. He hoped it wasn't too long. Telling Harry that he was late because a hat wouldn't remove itself from his head probably wouldn't go over very well.
And there'd be laughter.
