With Isabel at her Archery workshop, Cedric's taken to talking to both Jack and Jack's plant. Of course, they don't talk back but he keeps up the steady stream of conversation anyway

It's been a while since Anders has had a reason to stop by 215. And well, he doesn't really have a reason to today, either, but the door's ajar and he hears yipping sounds coming from inside.
Anders has to stare at the small furry creature that suddenly finds his ankles so fascinating.
"No kidding," he says weakly. "Wait a second. I heard something on the radio. That's Harkness, isn't it? Which means . . . well, I don't know who you are, but hi."
"Cedric Diggory," he says, holding his hand out. "And yes, that would be Jack Harkness. Or Jack Harkness the fox for the time being. We're not sure how long this is going to last."
Anders rubs at the back of his neck for a moment and watches fox!Jack do his hyper little thing. "I'm pretty sure somebody has already told you this sort of thing tends to happen a lot around here and usually goes away on its own. He makes a cute little fox though."
He looks back up and shakes Cedric's hand with a smile. "Anders," he says. "Hi, Cedric."
"He does," Cedric agrees, grinning down at Jack again. "Anders, good to meet you. I'm sure Jack says hello to you as well. He's been very friendly since being turned into a fox."
"Not like he wasn't friendly before, but now he's got the cute and fuzzy thing going for him too," Anders observes, and turns a grin of his own on Jack. "Hi, Harkness. I haven't talked to you in forever, seems like."
He leans against the wall just inside the doorframe and looks around; it's been months since he set foot in this room, and it doesn't really look anything like he remembers. "I'm all behind on my introductions, I know. So what brings you to this crazy little town, Cedric?"
"A transfer from my former school," he answers. "England all the way to Virginia, I suppose. The reason is still unknown but I'm making the best of it. And yourself? You've been here awhile, then?"
"Since last September, yeah. You probably haven't heard of a planet called Caprica, but that's where I come from," says Anders. "My mom thought I was too sports-obsessed and my dad didn't think I was sports-obsessed enough, and somehow that added up to them sending me here, for however much sense that makes."
He looks around the room and back down at Jack again, then smiles. "You get used to this place."
Smiling again, Cedric says, "I've come to enjoy the school and the students. And no, I've not heard of Caprica. Is it across the ocean far away or even further than that far away?"
Anders points vaguely out the window, somewhere up in the sky, and shrugs. "Out there somewhere. Honestly, I have no idea where exactly, 'cause most people where I come from don't even believe Earth exists."
"Ah, so you're further from home than even me," Cedric says, keeping one eye on Jack whose stayed curled around Anders' ankles. "Quite a long ways to come to school. You're at least enjoying yourself, I hope?"
"Haven't had more fun in my life. Nobody to play Pyramid with since Thrace took off," he says, tilting his head slightly in the direction of what used to be Kara's side of the room, "but it's still been awesome."
He can't help it any more, so he reaches down and scritches Jack behind the ears.
Jack presses into Anders' hand, clearly enjoying being scritched.
"Most people have the same opinion as yours," Cedric says. "Enjoyment of their time here. I...am falling into that opinion as well. It's very different and, at times, very odd but I've had fun. A different kind of fun but still fun."
Anders laughs at Jack's obvious enjoyment and keeps scritching. Some things don't change, whether you're furry or not.
"Yeah, it's definitely different, and definitely weird sometimes, but good. Good to hear you're fitting in okay, though. Not everybody quite manages to do that."
What the hell, he thinks, and knocks on the door.

Cedric's right behind him, pulling open the door. "He's a little hyper," he says by way of greeting.
