when I was a kid i LOVED Bridge to Terabithia! I also like a Brave New World. Flowers for Algernon. A Wrinkle in Time.

i dunno, i can understand why a lot of these have been challenged. but i still don't think they ought to be banned. here are some of my reccommendations:
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain
The Giver by Lois Lowry
Go Ask Alice by Anonymous
In the Night Kitchen by Maurice Sendak
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes
A Light in the Attic by Shel Silverstein
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
Lord of the Flies by William Golding
Little Black Sambo by Helen Bannerman

i have To Kill a Mockingbird, if you'd like to borrow it. and i might be getting a couple of the others. i also have Catcher in the Rye, but i haven't read it yet. (so i can't reccommend one way or another.) and Happy Easter, by the way!
