The Power of Love
Brokeback Mountain.
What a story! I have no idea where to begin. For Jake to die in the end hit me pretty hard. I honestly thought it was going to be a happy ending; it was however a sad and warm ending. I'm glad I live in the year 2006 and not in 1963 because I understand there are limits to being gay in the world today but to be gay in the world back then? I have to say that it's pretty scary.
The love scenes were graphic -- yet I obviously felt comfortable. What surprised me and made me feel really good was during all the love scenes there was not any ew's or gasps from the audience. I say this because I remember seeing Rent and when Angel and Ben Collins kissed, many audience members said ew and I remember getting so mad. Why see the movie when you know there are things that you obviously don't agree with?
So school starts one week from today! I'm very excited to get back into the swing of things. I have done NoThIng this break and it felt pretty good. But I'm eager to get back into it. I'm looking forward to hitting the gym again daily and to get more A's and to see everyone. But especially to do the Model United Nations -- I'm very excited for that.
Normally I would write more, but I'm going to go read some more.
