Marty was in a good mood as he came home and into the apartment. "Hey you!" he said cheerfully before catching the expression on Angela's face. "Something wrong?"

She knew he would be coming, so why did she blink up in slight surprise at him?

"Yes," she said, then immediately amended. "No. Things are ... complicated."

"No one's dead or anything," she finally managed.

Marty raised an eyebrow in concern and settled down on the floor next to her. "You want to talk about it?"

"No," Angela said honestly, leaning her head on his shoulder. "I want it to go away so we're okay and I don't have to talk about it.
