Outside Pixie Cabin, Friday Afternoon

Angela had shipped almost all of her stuff home, but it wasn't time to leave for her flight yet. The last of her luggage was stacked just inside the cabin living room. Outside the cabin, she sat on the ground near the campfire, poking at the ashes with a stick and thinking.

"Noooooo," said Zero.

"I know!" Angela flailed. "This came way, way too soon."

"Then don't leave!" Zero suggested. "Stay! It'll be great. You can help me TA Goth 101 or whatever it's called."

Angela made a face. "I can't, I promised my dad I'd be ready to start work tomorrow," she said. "And ... its not like it'll be any easier to leave in August."

"True." Zero pouted. "You take care of yourself, y'hear? And write!"

"I'll write and call and be back at Homecoming," Angela said. "You will pretty much get sick of me."

[swerval_zero]

"Never!" Zero promised. "And I'll do all the same stuff," she promised. "Do you have or want a copy of the Teal Dear CD?"

"I don't think I ever got one," Angela said. She reached into a pocket. "Will you sign it? I know you're gonna be all famous someday."

[swerval_zero]

Zero produced a copy from her pocket and said, "Of course I'll sign it!"

Angela handed over the pen. "Thanks. Oh! And, I heard on the radio that Peter's home for the summer. Tell him, um, I said bye and we're trusting what's left of the school to his class."

[swerval_zero]

Zero laughed and said, "I'll pass the message along. Anything specific you want me to write?"

[chasingangela]

"I don't know, maybe just something cheesy," Angela said thoughtfully. "Go Gremlins, Class of '07, or whatever. Unless you have a better idea."

[swerval_zero]

Zero thought about it for a moment, then flipped open the liner notes and scribbled, To my favorite redheaded co-minion: Go Gremlins and good luck! S(scribble) Z(scribble) H(scribble)-S(scribble) Class of '07 rules! "Howzat?" she asked, holding the CD out to Angela.

"Perfect," Angela said, with a genuine smile. "I'll miss being co-minions with you. Though I am glad we don't have to clean up after the alien attack."

Zero shrugged. "I've been helpin' out anyway. Library's kinda trashed, an' I don' have that much to do anyway, 'sides work on my tan an' write songs."

[chasingangela]

"Poor books," Angela said with feeling. "When are you heading to college?"
