Room 304, Saturday morning

Aug 05, 2006 09:08

Joxer woke up and grinned at the head of dark hair next to him, then snuggled in closer. He wasn't exactly sure how this had happened, but it looked like he had wooed and won a fair lady.

"Oh, Kaylee."

Willow, who had been sleeping peacefully and dreaming of boys with English accents awoke to someone calling her the wrong name.

When she turned and saw who was in bed with her she immediately shrieked and flailed violently enough she fell out of bed. "What are you doing in my room?!"

Jaoxer's first thought was that Kaylee had redecorated.

His second thought was that that wasn't Kaylee. He sat up. "I didn't have nearly enough mead to go to bed with a guy!," he protested, groping for his armor. "Where's my helmet?"

Willow was still a little freaked out to understand exactly what the red-headed girl was saying. "Listen Missy! I know there's a whole open policy regarding the whole..."

Willow's voice dropped down suddenly, "-sex thing around here but I'm in a happy relationship with another guy. And while the whole red hair thing is a neat idea I'm not really looking for a relationship with another woman."

Joxer's hand went to his head in confusion, and he realized there was too much hair there. Looking down, he noticed other things were different too.

"I'm under a curse," he moaned. "One of Joxer's enemies is trying to take him down by putting him into the body of a woman."

That's when Willow suddenly noticed that something was different.

Down there.

"Eep!" she flailed. "I'm a guy. I can't be a guy! I'm a girl! I don't want to be a guy. It wrong and just... wrong!"

She then glared at the red-headed girl. "Who are you and what did you do with my body? You better tell me missy or I'll... I'll... cast a spell on you!"

"You're a warlock?" Joxer asked, flailing for a weapon. "You put this curse on me. I knew it. I'm a warrior, not a magician."

He looked around the room. "I need a mirror."

"I'm not a warlock. I'm a witch. A darn tootin' good witch if I don't mind saying and there was no spell casting by me. No sir. And if I did I wouldn't have ended up in a body like this," Willow replied with a good deal of arm waving and flailing.

"It appears to be a strong enough vessel," Joxer said. "A fine host. Whereas this is..." he flailed again, as if Willow would sometime realize exactly how wrong it was. "And I still don't trust people who use magic."

He stood and groped for the bathroom, vaguely recognizing the face in the mirror. "I look like -- Alicia? Anita? Something like that. She must be the witch."

"Angela is not witch," Willow said in a resolved tone. "And if you're not Angela who exactly are you?"

Joxer crossed his arms and turned to face the young man. "I am Joxer the Mighty, now humbled in a woman's body."

"There's nothing wrong with having a woman's body, buster!" Willow shot back crossing her own arms. "In fact I know a couple of women who could probably kick your posterior any day of the week and twice on Sunday!"

"I'm aware of female warriors," Joxer said, and it seemed like his brain was going to a happy place with that thought. "But this Angela doesn't seem to be one. This body has no tone, no muscles."

He peered curiously. "You still haven't said who you are, witch."

"That's right. I'm Willow and you shouldn't discount someone because they don't have muscles," Willow said waving her finger at Joxer. "That leads to... well I don't know but it leads to something bad, I tell you."

"Willow," Joxer said, getting a besotted look in his eyes. "Of course, I should have recognized you anywhere. Even if we are bewitched."

"Wipe that look from your face mister!" Willow said taking a step back. "I'm a one man kind of woman and there won't be any more illicit snuggles going on. Even if you aren't a man and I'm not at woman."

Willow adjust her boxer shorts. "How can you guys stand these things?"

Joxer flailed. "I'm trying to imagine life without it. And no snuggles! I'm with Kaylee," he exclaimed.

Then, hopefully, "Have you seen her?"
