I want a re-write of ep 2.10. The Vivian episode.
When the dragon told Merlin that true love's kiss would break the spell, Merlin figured that, maybe it didn't have to be Arthur's true love; just someone that truly loved Arthur. So he figures he'll give it a shot, if not he'd get Gwen. After all, if there's room for mistake it's best he makes it.
So he does it. And breaks the spell. He tells Arthur that it only needed to be a kiss, and so he'd done it, to make life simple.
Arthur does what he does in the ep.
When he goes to Gwen, she forgives him and takes him back. The next day she goes and confronts Merlin about kissing Arthur. At first she's hurt, because if anyone should have done it, it should've been her -- after all she's the one who loves Arthur. Merlin just gives her a lopsided smile and shrugs saying he hadn't wanted to bother her for something so trivial, but at least everything was okay between the two of them again.
Gwen gives him a suspicious look and goes off.
And then the story ends with Merlin pining and hating life and trying to forget about the fact that he'll never be requited.
THE END.
