So tell us about you name. Do you have a middle name? Do you have several? Do you go by a pseudonym? A nickname? Why? What about your username? Give us a story. There’s got to be some reason you’re called what you are called.

I am The Blind Mag, Voice of Genco.
I have been since I was quite young, it started as just a stage name, a way to tell me apart from the dozens of other singers and actresses trying to make it in LA. I hated it so much, there would be nights I cried because of a name. I hated to be known as something I couldn’t alter or change, I hated it as much as Georgia O’Keefe hated being called a female artist. Then, I gained my sight, I was no longer blind and that part of my name became obsolete. However, by then? It wasn’t a stage name, it wasn’t needed to be known, everyone knew who I was, I was in all the papers, and on the news, by then? It was an identity, who the press saw. By then? She was someone else, the woman who stole the world’s attention when she took the stage, the woman who promised them that all their ails could and would be cured thanks to GenCo.
As I grew older, I was less and less Mag, or Maggie, and I was more and more Blind Mag. Instead of wiping off my make-up and taking my hair down first chance, I kept it on longer and longer, I stayed her more and more. Eventually? That was all I was, and am. I am Blind Mag. I am the Voice of GenCo. Who I was no longer exists, and who I am is all that I ever will be.
Remember, with GenCo? It’s what is on the inside that counts.
