(no subject)
So I fed a homeless guy today.
Me and Lauren went up to HoHo China for lunch. Good stuff. :-p And we were sitting at our table afterwards, idling, and a homeless guy wanders up. Asks Lauren for some change (No, sorry) and asks me if I'm going to eat the remains of my meal. Yep, I say, sorry. He laughs and says he likes me. Then he goes and begs the next table, and finally just sits down. And I'm all full of guilt, because I'm being the stereotypical excessive American and this guy is homeless and hungry. So I take out my eggroll and bitten-into almond cookie (because you can have my eggrolls when you pry them from my cold, dead hands :-p) and go back and tell him, sorry, I changed my mind, and gave him the styrofoam container. And he lit up and walked off with it, talking in this awesome gangsta rap style, and it made me laugh. Lauren was off cowering, thinking he was going to knife her in the back or something, but. Heh.
And to make this entry purposeful, hm, some recs.

And I've mentioned Speak a Different Tongue before, yes? Because I've been checking back daily on that. Mm, Voldemort/Harry. Still baffled why we've not got a good DADA!Voldemort AU after HBP. Sigh. :-p
Mm, and yesterday I went on a shopping spree. To Walmart for a backpack, and while I was in line there were Toy Story pens. :-D I got a Buzz and a Woody and they will no doubt be acting out some good slash when I'm supposed to be doing more relevant things. :-p And then we went over to Best Buy. Weezer's self titled, Straylight Run's self-titled, and Cake's "Comfort Eagle." Three CDs for $40, you have no idea how pleased I was. Listened to SR this morning, very happy with it. Gonna listen to the others this afternoon.
And I've been gorging myself on Sims 2. Legacy challenge, yay. That's where I'm back to. Later.
