I wrote this in April...
Once in a great while,
I feel the sting of despair.
Tears well behind these once brown eyes,
Now green, they are fit to burst.
But nobody will ever know, I'll never show it.
Driving, pangs of desire scrape at my back,
And all I want is to stuggle no longer.
"I'm sorry, I can't help you."
Why does it seem like nobody can?
Or is it just that nobody wants to?
Coming home, an incandescent glint of hope waits,
Gazing upon his picture, I find serenity in his smile.
I find the strength to move on
Through his encouraging eyes.
I wonder if he knows just how important he is to me.
Cut off from the outside world,
It's amazing how powerful a six inch cell phone really is.
Given the power to give or take away communication,
I feel silenced, yet I still speak.
I shall live to try another day.
So much has gone wrong,
But something must go right.
I have faith in him, and he in me.
And I will not admit defeat.
I will not admit defeat, only because I have yet to achieve victory.

But your poem was really moving. I am guessing it is about a boyfriend that has gone off to war or maybe prison.

There once was a President named George dubya Bush
He must have fallen off the tractor too many times
Cus his pee size brain was full of mush
He made up lies, declared war on s places,
Sent young men, women, moms and dads
To kill lots of people, some mental cases.
Bush sucks, and kerry is better,
Even if hes married to an immigrant,
She can still speak better than bush if u let her.
There u go :)
