The company I applied hired me, but then I had to get into a "program." The program I got into is a credit card company . I can't say the name but it begins with the letter "A." No outbound, customers call in about their accounts.
They are shipping me a computer system tomorrow, and I already did new employee orientations classes via telephone conference calling along with another dozen people.
Next week, I have to do program-specific training for the computer. Then the "official" training starts the week of the 26th this month. Unfortunately training is going to last 3 months, which is at a lower wage -- production calls start in October.
I hope working full time with these people doesn't come out to be too overwhelming, because I still want to take my college hours. If it is, then I will just have to hang in there for the 12 month committment. Then if it seemed too much, I can try to get into another program that is only part-time. The disadvantage (besides less hours) is that this full-time program pays more per hour.
I guess I will see how it goes.
