LINK: “You what?!” Tara cried, holding the phone away from her ear so her near-hysterical husband wouldn’t burst her eardrum. She squinted to see the illuminated clock on Lachlan’s bedside and found it was after one thirty in the morning.
Lachlan whimpered and paced back and forth across the gaudy carpet of the hotel’s foyer. The battery on his cell phone had died, so he was forced to resort to the pay phone at the hotel reception. “I lost him! He is half naked - possibly completely naked now - and in pigtails somewhere in Princeton with House and I havenae any clue what the fuck I should do! I called hospitals, Tara. I called hospitals and the morgue to see if he was dead!”
“It’s not like you could’ve put him on a leash, sweetheart,” Tara reasoned. “And if you did, considering he’s half naked, I’m pretty sure he would’ve gotten out of it if he wanted to. This is Chase we’re talking about.”
