The search continues

Saw yet another rental this past weekend. Nice couple living there, like them, they like us, TINY FREAKING APARTMENT. Really small. It's a good fallback, for sure. But oh my god tiny, not a first choice. Saw another one, a studio on the ground floor of a house, with every likelihood of becoming the entire bottom floor upon the other lower remnant moving out. Guy in charge is a musician, really cool cat. It was even within a mile of my work. Started filling out paperwork, then got to the section about pets, and realized that I hadn't heard Michelle ask about pets, so I did. No pets. Shit. So, we shall continue to search.

It's really frustrating, it seems like everything out here is either no pets or no couples. I hate it. Only the one place I had my heart set on in the beginning, and the tiny freaking apartment, have been pet and couple friendly. It's really quite disheartening. I hate dealing with stuff like this. I really do. I'd rather just get it over with and be done with it. But it's either no couples or no pets. Geezus. I can't get rid of Marty, I've raised her since her eyes first cracked open, for goodness sake. I can't just abandon her now. Shit, I'd rather sleep in my car than give her up for an apartment. And every day that goes by with another rejection is another day closer to that eventuality. Eh, whatever. I'd save a fortune on utilities and be able to save money that much faster. Not the worst way to climb to the top, really. Heh, maybe get myself a Vanagon, live out of that for a while. That could be kinda dope for the short term. Weekend trips would certainly be easier, just take my living quarters with me! Could wake up to some really nice views along the coast.

Meh. I need hugs. Lots of them.
