Is there life out there?

Here we are, in mid July (already, Jeez!) and I just want to take a few minutes to write about what's going on thus far in my life.

I'm almost finished with my first block of classes at University of Phoenix. They seem to be really easy to take. I never have to be online more than 20 or 30 minutes a day on them, which is a thousand times better than sitting for two, three hours in a classroom letting my ass go numb on that really weirdly-textured plastic.

I'm getting about two grand back in financial aid into my bank account. Half of it's gonna go into my savings account at ETrade. The other half I need to keep out for rent, incidentals, plus I HAVE to replace my laptop. Incidentally, if anyone wants to buy a laptop for parts, as it's a really tempramental bitch to use as a daily computer--plus, there's no more keyboard on it, let me know. I paid $700 for it but would be willing to take a quarter of that just to get it the hell out of my sight.

The roommates and I are planning to move out at the end of September and move into a quaint little complex in South Arlington. We'll pay a dollar less in rent than we are now (our place goes up $100 at the end of our lease, hence our need to move) plus we get the first month half off. It's just a hair smaller than what we have now, but there's more storage space and I think being on the bottom floor, we'll be cooler and more in a place to keep it clean and tidy. At least tidier than we keep this one.

I'm thisclose to being mated for real. His name's Tyler, a wolf from Indiana. His dad works for GM, and he's thinking of moving to UTA for school. The feelings are a thousand times more intense than they ever were for any of my exes, plus I don't feel as clingy and in bad need to be online waiting and waiting for him to be on. This is a very good sign because a) my trust is already set in place, b) my comfortability of being away from him is there too, and c) I think this means this is the real thing.
