*swoons with happiness*

This was such a lovely fic. I love the vulnerability and defensiveness of Chase, so beautiful. I'd say I wanted to hug her, but since Krista took care of that I guess Chase is okay, lol.

Plus I love how Chase let her emotions and feelings out there, and Krista knows some of the feelings that Chase has hidden behind smirks and quips before. It really allows for their relationship to go to a more genuine place now that Krista knows where Chase's vitrol comes from and why the blonde can be so mean to her when she can also be incredibly considerate, and Chase knows that Krista actually does care for her. I loved that Krista intiated the petting contact, and that she admited her attraction to the maddeningly attractive Chase in this. It's like after this they won't be able to hide behind the walls they had before and might be able to move forward in their relationship.

Plus Krista telling Chase that she was still beautiful and meaning it was like the sweetest thing ever.

“Whatever you say, Chase.” Krista ( ... )

Yay with the swoonage! What I found uncanny was you and others talking about Krista being the one to kiss Chase's booboo's for once and that was exactly what I was writing about. Hehe as they say great minds think alike and so forth. *wink ( ... )

It was an excellent and I think necessary development. It showed that the grudging affection really does go both ways. I think we the audience knew how Krista felt, but Chase noting that Krista came to her finally showed that it had been something that was on her mind (maybe a doubt as to how Krista actually felt about her), so it was nice to see.

I felt it was time for Chase's feelings to spill over a bit. Hell we've seen onscreen how she's been feelng, even if she's been silent about it.

Exactly. Oddly enough for all of her bravado Chase is the most transparent character on the show. She might not say what she feeling, but it's always written all over her face. Jessica Gower is pretty amazing that way.

For Krista to know that Chase is not fooled, she's not being blinded by her attraction to her, but...she ( ... )

Yep, and that's very important that we see it's not all one sided. Not just Chase pursuing and wearing down Krista's defenses. Mutual attraction taking it's natural course rather than Marcus' forced 'drug' induced manipulation.

Ah, so true. She is good with giving you a window into her true feelings without having to say a word. I find Chase wonderfully sympathetic, for all her gleeful wickedness because of that.

She's not sure that she can trust Krista, and yet she's opened herself up to her despite that in an emotional way. As their relationship progresses I could see this being a source of major angst for Krista, because Chase would be seriously when she finds out Krista has been working for ( ... )

Only the cool ones, lol. Seriously though I'd imagine for vampires there's good/pleasurable pain, and then there's pain pain. Like getting whipped/spanked/cut/bitten/slapped/thrown against objects etc. would be good pain, whereas having third degree burns all over your body would just be pain pain.

Or maybe Chase can give it out but doesn't like to recieve it, since we know she certainly gets off on stabbing people (oh Fritz!). Maybe Krista can show her the joys of submission!

Thanks for answering Fembuck. Yeah, I do think that vamps enjoy the fine line between pleasure and pain. However extreme pain is not all that fun unless you have a really twisted psyche. Like who really enjoys being impaled or having limbs cut off? I agree that full body burns would be constant pain pain, as opposed to fleeting yummy pain that feeds the sexual drive.

As for Chase's proclivities, I think she's been the sub more than the dom, so she is probably more inclined nowadays to want to be in the dominant role just to feel more powerful. However, there is something about Krista that makes her flirt with the idea about relinquishing some of that control. Or at least in my fantasies that happens. Heheh.

Verily.

Excellent point. Based on comments made on the show about her past she seems to have been victimized in the past, and when she was turned had trouble adjusting and it seemed had to work very long and hard to move up into the position of power she has now (which is why she's so bitter Krista just had it handed to her).

However, there is something about Krista that makes her flirt with the idea about relinquishing some of that control. Or at least in my fantasies that happens. Heheh.I LOVE the idea of Krista being the one to make her feel as if she can let go. There's just something darkly romantic about Chase giving herself to Krista like that, and probably like trembling and nervous and hating ( ... )

I really like this. I can definitely see Krista stopping by to visit out of concern and getting the third degree from Chase because Chase expects her to act like a rival. But as usual Krista's just being a little too human to fit into her expectations.
Krista's still human reactions do seem to disarm Chase and make her act uncharacteristically in turn. It's like a virtuous circle :D.

Whatever you say Chase
Krista's already talking to Chase as if she was her gf, lol!

Thank you! Yes, I do think Krista does on some level care about what happened to Chase, even if she was working for Blade. And she does surprise Chase and challenge her because of her resistance to becoming fully dark.

A virtuous cycle, hehe I like that idea. Krista reigniting the spark of humanity in Chase.

Oh yeah, I know, when I wrote that line I was like 'okay, gals, this is it, you are so a couple even if you are pretending not to be'. *wink*

LOL. That's totally what I loved so much about that line although I didn't put it together like that. It was so humoring, like "whatever dear, can we go to sleep now?"

Glorious, they are so sweet on each other ;)

Yeah, it was totally intended to give off that humouring vibe. Like when you know and care about someone well enough just to roll your eyes, pat their head and pretend to agree just to shut them up already and kiss/snuggle/sleep/stop fighting.
