Now, why would I get into a show precisely as it is ending? For the heartbreak! Obviously. Rome is over...and wow, what a way to go (at least this was a planned ending. do not get me started on Deadwood and the wrap-up "movies" that I increasingly believe were nothing more than talk...Ausiello agrees). Also heartbreaking is the price I will, no doubt, eventually pay to buy the first season on DVD.
