Roadblocks in the homestretch
I've had schedule distractions and then a general, non-specific sort of creative *flailing* for the last few nights and haven't made it through the last chunk of my Dexter vid. I've got clips scattered haphazardly over the remaining timeline and keep hoping I'll open up the project and there will be an epiphany where All Is Revealed and I have a crystal-clear picture of how they all fit. So far, the Magic Vidding 8-Ball keeps serving up the very unhelpful, "Reply hazy, please try again." But it's so close and I will finish it this weekend. Or else.
(which sounds like determination, but is actually a humble plea to the 8-Ball)
Also, I've gotten a few questions about this and I don't want it to seem like a state secret, because it isn't -- I opted not to participate in the Shelly Awards this year and had my vids removed from the eligible list back in early December. I didn't mention it publicly during the nomination window to avoid the whole attention-whoring drama queen angle and making folks feel as if they should pet me or something in response. No big, no indictment of the Shellies implied...I just found the process stressful last year and decided not to go there again.
