So some people were doing this ipod game where you post the first line or couple of lines of a song and people have to guess which song it is. (Wasn't that a coherent description?)

Anyway, I did it a little differently, but here goes.

Here were the real rules (taken from wanderingjasper):

Step 1: Put your music player on shuffle.
Step 2: Post the first lines from the first 35 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing.
Step 3: Strike through the songs when someone guesses both artist and track correctly.
Step 4: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!

I did this but then I picked fifteen out the thirty-five that I thought people might actually be able to guess, so not quite a random selection.

1. There's nothing you can do that can't be done / Nothing you sing that can't be sung -- The Beatles, "All You Need is Love"
2. Summertime, child, your living's easy / Fish are, fish are jumping out
3. Slow down, you move too fast / Got to make the morning last -- Simon & Garfunkle, "Feeling Groovy"
4. Bones sinking like stones / All of us are done for -- Coldplay, "Don't Panic
5. On dit qu'il y fait toujours beau / C'est là que migrent les oiseaux* -- Emily Loizeau, "L'autre bout du monde"
6. I get high on a buzz / Then a rush when I'm plugged in you
7. My sex change operation got botched / My guardian angel fell asleep on the watch**
8. Down in the green hay where Monkey and Bear usually lay / They woke to the stable boy's call
9. See the vegetable man in the vegetable van / With a horn that's honkin' like a mariachi band -- Beck, "Que' Onda Guero"
10. Well you done done me and you bet I felt it / I tried to beat you but you're so hot that I melted -- Jason Mraz, "I'm Yours"
11. I should've known you'd bid me farewell / There's a lesson to be learned from this / And I learned it very well
12. We are the crowd, we're c-coming out / Got my flash on it's true / Need that picture of you -- Lady Gaga, "Paparazzi"
13. Oh the shark, babe, has such teeth, dear / And it shows them pearly white
14. Looking 'round the room, I can tell that you / Are the most beautiful girl in the room / In the whole wide room -- Flight of the Conchords, "The Most Beautiful Girl (In the Room)
15. You who were born with the sun above your shoulders / You turn me on, you turn me on, you have to know***

*Okay, this one is tricky, but I will be oh-so impressed if you get it.
**This will be easy if you know the movie.
***Have not heard this since freshman year.

Go! I know you know at least one of these songs.

mememe!, misc-uhh-llaneous
