ok wouldn't it have been nice if someone had said "if your camera gives you the option to let you shoot in RAW format that it saves you SO much time in photoshop as aposed to shooting in JPEG format?" This is probably a dumb question. Would converting the picture from JPEG to RAW after its on the computer make the picture look better? Or does it have to come off the camera as RAW? Paint shop pro might not even be compatible with RAW. hmmmm...

nope you have to take the picture in RAW format... its not like switching from GIF to JPEG or TIFF... and JPEGs loose a little information every time you open them, where they don't in RAW. wouldn't it be nice if someone wrote a book that was called "things people should tell you but never do."
