Finally, I have about an hour to myself.
This is my day:
Get up at 7am and rush to get myself and my kid clean, fed, dressed, and out the door by 8:15.
Take Leo to Ron's, which is out of my way.
Go to work.
Come home and do laundry or other housework.
Make a quick dinner.
Get everything ready for the next day.
Sleep.
Repeat.
Yesterday and today work was less stressful. I'm starting to get the hang of things. I do office bitch work, including filing, typing, making appointments, and screening calls. Today the power went out for about 45 minutes so we sat around and my boss gave me a sex talk. She told me not to jump in bed with men without picturing them as the father of my child.
Anyway, my big project has been creating a contact database in Outlook. Around lunch I finally got all of the basic client information entered. There were about 500 of them, ugh. Now my boss wants me to go through each one of the files looking for more information, then individually call these people to get information like their spouse's names and birthdays, anniversaries, and e-mails. I don't even know what to say. I mean, wouldn't you be creeped out if some girl you had never talked to randomly called asking for this information? Once I get it all done, I'm pretty sure my position will be secured You see, I have a probational period of 30 days before they decide to keep me or not and how much I will be paid.
Speaking of getting paid, I get my first check tomorrow! I am going to buy a tanning package, a long overdue haircut, and Leo some clothes. Maybe a new naval ring, but that may wait until my next check. Then save most of the rest for future expenses.
The big biannual rummage sale at my old high school that I never miss was today, and it was a good one. I was there for over an hour, and I didn't even look for myself. & I didn't go until 4:30. It is usually picked over by that time. I found a lot of shirts, pj pants, and books for Leo, three books for myself, three liquor glasses, a toy wheel barrow, one of those sliding beads on twisty wire toys, and a little stool for upcoming potty training. All for $9! It would of been even cheaper had my high school Spanish teacher been there. He likes me so he always gives me the special discount, lol.
My back is killing me from sitting in front of a computer all day. I'm looking forward to a back massage from Joe. In the mean time, I have to get off the damn computer.
