(no subject)
Leo is with his dad overnight and possibly overnight tomorrow. I am relaxing with my feet up and a Corona. Joe is taking me out to dinner tonight and I think I'll put some curlers in my hair and look extra hot since I have time. I'm thinking Mexican food then sitting at the bar for a few drinks when we're done. It finally stopped raining so maybe we can walk. Two steak enchiladas with salsa verde and a margarita on the rocks sounds yummy. I found my old digital camera, but I did something with the memory card. I hope I can find it, I can be so disorganized. The quality won't be spectacular, but at least it's something.
The weather has been ridiculous. Rain rain rain rain thanks to Hurricane Ike. Today is sunny for the first time in a good week. There is a lot of flooding, but luckily we live on high ground. This town is basically an island aside from being connected on one little side. The roads are flooded around the bridges, so I have to take the interstate to get anywhere. & the traffic is ridiculous and moving really slow since there is construction and it's down to one lane plus there is a lot of extra traffic. I'm not used to dealing with traffic. There is never ever heavy traffic here. Heavy traffic means it takes five minutes to get out of my driveway since we live on the busiest street in town, and that doesn't say much.
In other news, I'm actively looking for a job. I'm really ready to do this now. It's time to leave my baby during the day :( I wrote a resume and cover letter then went to the college career center to work out the kinks. I search the classifieds and job websites daily, but I haven't had much luck yet. I'm hoping to be an office bitch or something similar since I had mad computer skillz. I am shooting for $10 an hour, hopefully full time. Minimum wage isn't going to cut it or I would just get a mall job. Being an adult sucks sometimes. I'm hoping Ron will hold up his end of the deal and watch Leo during the day, otherwise I am going to have to find some way to pay for daycare.
I better get in the shower so I can be on time for once.
