music and school overload

I was recommending music to a live journal friend and decided to make a brief record of what I'm currently into since my tastes have broadened a bit.

Zero 7 - soft, pretty, relaxing. some of the songs where the guy sings are a little jazzy.
Jem - also pretty. a mix of things. can be compared to fiona apple I guess but less pent up anger-y and there are some danceable songs.
M.I.A. - very different dance music. most of her songs express her thoughts on war
Wilco - Indie or whatever you want to call it band. mostly fun, good-natured music.
Incubus - well this is nothing new. they've been one of my favorites for quite awhile.
Beck - no explanation needed
Weezer - same
A Perfect Circle - different & generally mellow but with tension and some of them get edgy. I wasn't too big of a fan until I saw them live.
Gorrilaz - I've been hooked since "I'm happy, I'm feelin glad, I've got sunshine in a bag." I was pleasantly surprised by their new cd
No Doubt & Gwen Stefani - completely different styles. I prefer No Doubt, but I dig Gwen. Her style makes me go :o wow
Justin Timberlake - What can I say; once an 'nsync fan, always an 'nsync fan.
Ying Yang Twins - haha. hey bitch, wait till you see my dick. ima beat that pussy up.

That's the gist of it.

Today was insane. I didn't have a second to rest until I got home. While walking into the school, I had to make a few phone calls to set up interview appointments for a school newspaper article I am writing. During my two hour break, I had to conduct two interviews and do my biology lab (which I didn't come close to finishing). During my biology lecture, he went much faster than he usually does (which is at warp speed to begin with) and nothing registered in my brain since I was trying so hard to write everything down before he moved on. At 3:30, I was finally able to eat lunch. After that, I was planning on going back to school to go to the Fitness Center or to try to finish my biology lab, but I just crashed at 4:30 and slept until 8:30. I probably would of slept until early morning, but Juan called and woke me up.

Tonight I need to throw together my newspaper article at the least.
Tomorrow during my break I have to sit at a table in the lobby with the honor's society to collect donations for hurricane katrina. I'm going to try to duck out of that a little early to finish my biology lab before my Yoga class at 3pm, which I'm sure won't be a problem because there will probably be an over abundance of people manning it.
After Yoga I have to go to the layout meeting for the school newspaper. I'll be pretty late because of my class. Hopefully I'll squeeze a vending machine food break somewhere in there. After the meeting (which will run pretty late--8:30 at least I'm sure), I have to come home and study for a biology lab test. I suck at labs and he's going to give us very little time, so I really have to know my stuff. There's a lot of stuff to remember.

For the record, science lab classes really suck. They take up all of your damn free time and they're tough.
