happy birthday, happy birthday!

Best birthday ever, ever, ever.
Sunday night/Monday morning I had a hard time sleeping. I was still awake at 6:30am when I heard noise downstairs. It sounded like my mom was moving furniture around or like someone was trying to break the door down, so I went down to check things out. I looked out the kitchen window because it sounded like that was where the noise was coming from and I saw some man's legs and feet outside the window. Naturally, I jumped back and was rather startled until I realized it was the guy my mom called months ago about the gutters he just put in not working.
Annoyed, I woke my mom up and went back to bed. I finally fell asleep and not long after that my mom came upstairs and woke me up because she thought I fell?
Later on I woke up to the sound of someone coming down the hallway of my room AGAIN. I was getting ready to grumble at my mom for waking me up again when I see Juan. I just shoved my head into the pillow and slapped my forehead to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
Best, best, best, best, BEST surprise everrrr.

He took me to dinner at Uptown that night since it was Monday and nothing else was really open. The next day we went to Naperville to guiltlessly blow almost $200 in birthday money and pick up an ice cream cake at Coldstone. Yummm.
I ended up getting a Gamecube, a DVD player for my room, and a buttload of clothes and shoes for my birthday. For my Gamecube Juan bought me Mario Kart double dash and the Sims Bustin' Out as well as Zelda. We rented Pikmin (which I don't recommend doing since it's outrageously expensive--at least from Blockbuster) and I'm rather addicted to it. It's beyond adorable. When I close my eyes, I see Pikmin & I have Pikmin voices stuck in my head instead of songs.

Wednesday I started school, but we were up late that night and I ended up sleeping through my first class. Genius, right? I have had the instructor before and I have him for drawing also, so I told him what happened the next day in drawing class and he laughed at me.

I have been feeling really down lately and Juan made me feel better x's 1000. I took him to the airport this morning, so I'm feeling a little blah now. I really hope he seriously considers moving here for the next year, because this is getting too hard on both of us.

As far as my wisdom teeth go, my mouth feels almost completely normal. I had those annoying stitches taken out on Tuesday and OUCH. My mouth was still a little tender and swollen and he was poking back there with scissors and I was shaking I guess so he kept stabbing me owww. It bled a little and hurt like hell for about a half hour but after that I was basically fine aside from my lisp returning.
It will be two weeks since the surgery on Tuesday. Two more longgg weeks until I can eat rice and tomatoes and other things without cutting out the seeds. I've slipped up a couple times with eating seeds in the past week. I'm still trying to be on my toes with taking care of myself since things like to go awry when I think I'm in the clear. I would say "I'm glad it's over," but I'm afraid to.

& now it would be an excellent idea to get started on my homework. I can't say I missed this over the summer.
