Broken limb.
Well after that wonderfully conclusive weekend (and beginning of the week 0.o) I think it's about time I started taking care of another matter at hand. Of hand...
Yep. You guessed it. Remember the foot incident? Broke my foot, didn't find out till two months later, after a particularly rough mosh? The pain suddenly appeared outta nowhere and shot up to my knee.
Well. Good news. This time it's not my foot. ::smirk::
When I was moving from Mamou to Lafayette, I noticed when I started driving that I had an odd swelling on the right side of my right wrist. It looked sorta like when you burst a vessel or whatever, so I ignored it. Hell, it only took a little more than a day to disappear.
...along with all the feeling in the right side of my hand. Now that's slightly harder to ignore. Especially since I tend to use this hand for common tasks that are no long possible. Alright then. Sio's mum said if I'm lucky I just pinched a nerve. Give it a bit longer to see.
Now, here I am, another two weeks later. With no feeling whatsoever in my right side of my right hand. Went see the campus doc yesterday, and she noticed that my numbness actually DOES start from my wrist. and It only hits one half of my 4th finger, but I'm not crazy when I say this because she explained to me that the two nerves on the sides I'm referring to are from another branch of a different one. Joice. So I'm not imagining things.
Then she proceeds to tell me that the case is too serious and they'll have to send me to a hospital elsewhere. Which is what I'm about to go do, missing yet another day of classes. 0.o Specifically the same set of classes I missed due to Katrina. Ouch.
But yes, I have a ligit excuse for the teachers now at least. Pain has been shooting up to my elbow and my hand randomly stops functioning when writing or something like that. Not for long, but enough to be quite aggravating. Especially when trying to type like this. I just got directions and now I'm off to go see what the hell is wrong with me this time... ::sigh:: Wish me luck...
