I am back from South Africa with no diseases, touch wood, and quite a few photos both digital and on film. Until I get the pics on my camera developed:
Dude, this guy was massive. I trusted the people we were with, they seemed to know the animals and treated them generally with respect. If this guy had decided to attack the jeep however, I'm pretty sure it would have been the vehicle that came off worse.
This little fella came up to within about 2 feet from the open jeep we were in and just sat and watched us. Isn't he gorgeous??
The alphamale of one of the prides in Kruger national park. He walked round the jeep once, about an arms distance from us all. Terrifying, but amazing.
Again, about 3 feet away from us. She's just yawning, not roaring.
