Today's facts of the day - discovered by me while watching Animal Planet last night with my kids. Thank God they can't read - at least Animal Planet had the intelligence to put these facts on the screen instead of saying them out loud, or I would have spent my evening explaining the birds and the bees to my six year old.
1. Pigs' orgasms can last up to 15 minutes.
2. Lions mate every fifteen minutes. Think about that, ladies. and not just for an hour or two, it's every fifteen minutes for a week. No wonder you always see lions lying down.....they can't walk properly after that. On the other hand, the mating process lasts for a whopping 6 seconds each time.
And the moral of the story is that if the people who thought up evolution had any sense at all, they'd realize that it can't be quite accurate because men are obviously closer to being descendants of lions than of apes.
