Sweet Briar Writing Conference was the most amazing thing ever. It helped that I turned out to be rooming with a girl who was basically my heterosexual wife. Oh my gosh, she was the greatest. But most importantly:
I can hardly believe this, but I found out last night I got into Hollins University. Hollins. You know, my top choice grad school? Their MFA poetry program. With a full ride. Huge stipend even to go there. Get to teach.
There are no words for how incredibly happy I am about this. I don't know how to express it. This kind of thing doesn't happen to me. I feel incredibly blessed. So much of my future falls neatly into place now. Josh and I will look for places in Staunton (about 20 mins south of Harrisonburg) this week.
For now, I will wait for Josh's super big Exalted weekend to end, and take a shower. Later, Watchman.
