Notes: This was originally made for
merlin_rarepair first challenge, but I wanted somebody to check it first and I kind of missed the deadline. Anyway, I luuuv them, they are a drug that I can't get anywhere {if anybody would like to provide, I'll be your slave LOL}, anyway, love them since the last time and I hope I'm really not the only one.
Thanks to:
charlonee for taking a look at it ♥ love ya wifey!.
Also, I'd like to say this is for
fortassetu (though she already got the draft) because she is so awesome and feeds me with fics of pairings nobody else seems to share ♥
She corrupts people; he sees that, he is sure of that. It’s in her touch, in the way she moves, she talks… in the way she simply breaths. She corrupts people just because it’s her. He knows he should avoid her, hate her, even warn about her, but in the end, in the bottom of his soul, if he really has one, all he wants it’s to be tainted by her.

It’s so easy to get lost. So easy it almost hurts, she means everything he once dreamed to be: power, magic, strength. And she is beautiful, gorgeous, a dream land every men wants to conquer. He wishes he could just reach for her, just a little closer, but he is just another man in the kingdom and she is over that. He serves her but never looks in the eye.

She calls him, black and tainted, and he goes. It’s an order he can not disobey. It’s an order he has been waiting to hear from her. He knocks at her door and waits for her to call him in.
“My lady,” his voice fails a bit, but not enough. She sits by the window, watching the sundown.
“Come,” she says. She commands; he complies.
The air is thick, he can feel the magic, it just emerges from her, like a pulse, like a heart and he feels the rush to reach for her, touch her, be with her and just connect.
“It’s the magic,” she says, there’s a little smile on her face, almost sad, almost broken, and yet full of malice. It disturbs him. “What you see, what you feel, it’s the magic, Gaius.”
“My lady?” He sounds confused, he isn’t as much.
“You know it. I know it. They don’t. It breaks everything apart, doesn’t it, Gaius? Magic fills you at the same time as it makes you empty. Can you feel it?”
He can’t stop her (he doesn’t dare or want to if he has to be honest) as her hand reaches for his. It only takes a second before he is feeling her heart under his touch. Full, alive, intense.
“Will you believe me if I told you I said no? Will you, Gaius?” He doesn’t need to look at her eyes, or her lips, or even hear the need in her words, to understand what she feels. It just goes through his hand to the core of his body and his own heart beats in response.
He feels the connection, the darkness that creeps to his cheeks. He feels the pain and the confusion but he isn’t able to understand. He can’t question her, it is not correct, it is not his position. He doesn’t have an answer for her.
“You can go now, Gaius,” she lets his hand go, but he doesn’t move. Magic, feelings, something he can’t really comprehend keeps him there. And then her eyes go cold, freezing, and it pains him to look. He takes his hand as if it burned.
“Yes, my lady,”
His throat is dry, his feet heavy. When he turns his back on her, he feels the world crushing. Almost there, so close, so dirty and he broke it. For now and ever.

He only finds out what she is talking about a month later. The whole Kingdom explodes in happiness. She just glows in the shadows. So much sadness, so much pain, it almost hurts to come closer to her. There’s an heir in the way, an heir where it was impossible to be. And it’s all because of her.
‘Would you believe me if I told you I said no, Gaius?’
He nods in the shadows, and her eyes shot to him. She knows, and he is glad.

She calls him once more, she is dressed in red, in blood and she smiles. It’s a deathly smile, one that says she’s lost it all. She stands by the window, her hair in locks faintly falling in her back. She is white and pure, a porcelain doll that is falling down before she cracks. He can see the lines that stain the path she took, long before and only now.
“My lady?” he barely dares to question her, it’s almost as if her magic was crying, but her eyes are dry and her looks severe.
“You believe me, Gaius,” she simply says.
He can’t do anything but nod. He feels the magic, more powerful, the edges of sanity, loyalty, reality, cracking into him. It’s like if she has grown and stayed petit at the same time. Like a child that has grown up beyond comprehension of its body.
She walks to him, like the devil or the sun, like angels and demons were following her in the back. Her eyes are questioning, her soul is obscure. He should leave, he should say no. But he believes her, just a bit. In the end, it’s all about magic and humans, about the puppeteers that control it all. She is simply better than him at it.
“I’m sorry,” she whispers in his ear and he shivers. He is too attached to her, to the magic she provides, to the world he can’t reach, or touch. And then, her lips are tracing his skin, down until their reach his mouth. She kisses like poison, and he is too infected to react.
“My lady,” he gasps. It’s all he can manage to say, to think, to do; that and kissing back.

She corrupts people; he knows that. He feels her in his body, in his mind, like an ache he can’t get rid of. Maybe he simply doesn’t want to. It’s a memory that climbs into his thoughts, that follows him into his dream at night. It’s a memory of darkness and pain and it just hurts.
She corrupts people, she corrupts him.
Sometimes, he wonders, late at night, when the world and reality comes crushing down, he wonders if he has always thought facts from the right light.
