Relay for Life
So Relay for Life was this past Friday...4pm to 6am. That's a lot of walking. Shepherd raised over 38000 for cancer research! Delta Zeta it self raised 3,503.88. Thats about 113 per each girl!!! It's an unoffical competation, and we came in third.
It makes me happy though, to raise that much for a good cause. Both my grandmothers died from cancer and my dad is recently going through testing for it. It's probably nothing, which is why I'm not thinking about it...but still, I'm glad we can help, even if its just a little. Next year we'll raise even more!
Anyways, the best part about Relay is all the bonding the sorority goes through. When you start to lose it around 4 in the morning, the closeness sets in. Fun stuff. I love our New Memebers, they kept our spirits up.
Only a few more weeks until summer. I can't wait!!!!
