Interesting Stuff....
this college business. Today was kind of boring, cause we had the whole day free. So, I ate breakfast at like 10:00 and then hung out in my room a bit. Next i decided to go find my class buildings, and I discovered that my only 9:00 class, is a 25 min walk from my dorm. Not happy. But the good thing is, since I'm living with the honors college, the people in that section are gonna all walk together, so at least it won't be boring. I'm trying hard to acclimate to this being around new people thing. Everytime, I've changed schools, I'v always had a support net of friends with me, but now, I'm alone, and it's weird. Even the girl I got along with really well at orientation I haven't seen her once, whick sucks.
But I've met some really nice people, including one girl who reminds me of a cross between Chloe (birks) and Talia (music)which is really cool. So I hung out with her, her roommate and their friend tonight, and I had fun. But I still didn't talk much. It's weird, I don't drink, ski, or snowboard....but that's what most of the people on my floor talk about. So, I get like socially awkward in the large groups, and I feel like I don't belong there, but i'm obv gonna give myself a break, it is only the second day after all.
My roommate is a really nice guy, and we seem really compatible, which is good, but I'm not sure if we have much in common. Cause, we have a conversation for like 10 mins and are getting along really well, but then we'll both just kind of be quiet for a whole half-hour, it's so awkward, but it's not, so I can't be like, Dear God WHY AREN"T YOu Talking, lol. We have an English class together tomorrow, so, I'm thinking, since we'll have that in common, things are going to get much easier between us and we may even have TWENTY Minute convos, lol.
But honestly, when I am being active, I am having a LOT of fun, which is good.And I still have yet to be homesick, even thoough my parents called TWICE today.
Tomorrow classes start, should be interesting, I can't wait to turn in my abysmal essay. I honestly, could have rocked the frickin Casbah on it had we not had a two page limit. Two pages, can you believe that??? Anyway, the VMA's are about to start, so I may watch them, first time having cable, it's a wacky experience!But anyway, I'll be going now, I hope you've enjoyed my ranting.
