No, you're a princess. A charming prince will come find you.

Oh, but he'll have lots of expectations to live up to and lots of approval to earn. Like yours.

[playstheblues]

Well naturally.

And he'll have to be okay with the fact that I'll always love you more.

[playstheblues]

Well of course.

[charmedillusion]

But I still think it would just be easier if I stuck with the stage. And you. I'm good at being a bridesmaid, Bluebird, I really am.

And if I asked?

Probably more fun, either way.

Exactly. I think you can live out your happily ever after or you can portray it on the stage, but you can't have both.

[playstheblues]

You really think you can't have both?

[charmedillusion]

No. Not really. Everyone has to make that choice, don't they?

Yes, everyone does have to make that choice.

And at least you knows what comes afterward when you're onstage. You have a script. There aren't any surprises.

But Sarah...sometimes that turn, that surprise, it's the best thing.

No. That's the part where you're left standing alone in front of the mirror.
