My name is Severus Snape. I understand that you were familiar with a number of individuals from my world during their various stays here, and that due to this, you have been relocated at the behest of Mr. Potter.

It is my doing that this has occurred - in an effort to keep them safe. But it is vital that the fact that they are in hiding remain quiet. Otherwise that which they mean to avoid will know someone has tipped them off. And I will be unable to aid them.

I know it doesn't help, but I am very sorry. I...wanted to reassure everyone and keep my promise at the same time, but I didn't do a very good job of either.

It won't happen again, sir. To be honest, I don't know what would make them calm down, but I'll do what I can for my part. If I need to stop speaking to them altogether until this is resolved, then that's what I'll do.

The only thing that matters is that everyone remains safe.

I can hide your residence with a spell called the Fidelius Charm. It is what is keeping the others safe and hidden. You will need a third party, preferably someone who does not live with you, to be what is called a Secret Keeper. It will keep you safe, permitting this person does not tell.

I can also arrange for you to be able to visit Miss Evans.

I know exactly who I could ask. He's someone I would trust with my life without any hesitation. And he doesn't live with me...though I probably should speak to them first. Even if the others never stop asking, at least I know the Fidelius Charm will keep us from all being compromised.

I require that you not inform anyone of my involvement. If you wish, you may inform your friends that the danger to you has lessened significantly, and that they may come visit, permitted they are escorted there by the Secret Keeper or one of the residents. As long as he does not share the information verbally or by writing it down, the magic will hold.
