Poetry explains things better sometimes. Like this -
I should have loved a thunderbird instead; At least when spring comes they roar back again. I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead. (I think I made you up inside my head.)
Hn. That's somewhat similar to the situation most of those from my world were involved in back home. But now the story is over. How did you manage to get out? ...There could be more story-spinners out there.
I remember...Rue and Autor had told me a little bit about it. They said to never, ever talk to Drosselmeyer about it, though.
Yes, it did - The Labyrinth. It was my favorite for the longest time, though he's not restricted to it, I don't think. There are lots of myths and legends that involve him, or pieces of his story.
I managed to call on the King of the Goblins for help - I hadn't meant to, but I did - which landed me in the middle of a challenge. If I couldn't solve it, if I couldn't find my way through the Labyrinth, he would have won.
Oh, not many people have. It's not wildly popular where I'm from, either.
Won the challenge, but it was more than that - there were several things at stake. My little brother's safety, my safety, my friends' safety, my freedom. Because, you see...
I had..I had said something, the night I accidentally called him. I added something of my own to the story, and it...
...You seem-- Did something happen?

But it's all right..or it will be. I knew this was going to happen one day. And if it had been up to me, I'd have chosen this, anyway.

Although when loose ends are left behind, that can be unsettling.

There are some loose ends here, too, but...
It's not important. The important thing is that his kingdom will survive.

People rarely leave of their own choosing, though. Perhaps he'll be back again soon.

I had made a mess of things, once. And they need him there.
I don't know if he's allowed to leave again. It might change the story.

You came...from a story?

I...kind of ended up there by accident.

In the end, I won.
That was the last I ever expected to see of him.
Until I came here.

...Hm. I've never heard of it. Though perhaps I'll have to check it out. And this friend of yours is from multiple stories? That's interesting...
...Does that make him like the story-spinner from inside the stories? How odd. Maybe it works differently in other worlds. Won what, exactly?

Well, it came true.
