Yes, have you ever read it?

No, I'm afraid I haven't . . .

Oh. I'll have to tell you the story one day.

Were you affected yesterday, too?

No, I wasn't. Though Ken-san wanted to keep me locked away in a "tower" from all my suitors.

What about you, Sarah-san? How did you spend the day yesterday?

He didn't!

...You're serious, aren't you? Oh, Megumi, that must have been so exhausting for you! Were you completely confused? Or did you know something had to have been going on?

I spent the day planning my royal wedding, it was really fun. Up until the poisoning, but still. Princesses don't always have it easy, do they?

I knew there was a curse ongoing, but as to why I had to be "locked away" was the mystery. Well, it was amusing, strange, and exasperating all at once.

Oh, dear. A poisoning? Is that what you were talking about in your entry, Sarah-san?

And to think, Mitsuhide was a knight, too! Did he go rescue you? He tried to give me some directions, but I couldn't even tell which way was north.

That's it. The short version of the story is that the princess escapes being assassinated by the wishes of her jealous stepmother, lives with dwarves, and finally bites into a poisoned apple her disguised stepmother gives her. But it ends happily, as the prince arrives afterward and awakens her.

My version yesterday was slightly different.

I tried to tell him not to. My "tower" was fairly comfortable, after all, if not odd--and besides, I knew that the curse would eventually wear off.

Oh, I see . . . What happened?

He didn't listen to you, did he?

I had a stepmother but no dwarves.

I evaded the topic.

Ah, you were meant to have dwarves?

That was smart. Good job, Megumi.

Yes, I was, but there aren't in the City. I still had lots of help, though, from everyone else.

If you could have been a fairy tale, which would you have picked?
