Without securing the borders, we don't have a country. I don't understand why people don't understand this. Without a clear line, you weaken the sovereignty of a nation. I'm willing to give President Bush a chance on this border issue, but the reports coming out today about his plans aren't acceptable. They're just reports, so I'm not pre-judging his plan. I hope he wakes up to what people want, people who are here legally and who vote. One chance.
I'm going to watch the speech and then watch coverage of it on two different networks. I feel like two networks need to be watched on this one, so I'll be watching Lou Dobbs, of course, and also Fox News. Fox is so incredibly juvenile in the morning. I'm not sure how they can even be on the air (ratingswise). Every once in a while I give them a chance for five minutes, but the morning people are really horrible, really. At least the morning people shouldn't be there since they should be asleep at that time.
This week's turning out to not be as bad as I thought. Here's to us for hoping that it continues to go well.
