Julie: After about an hour of walking I find myself lost. I don't know where I am. I start to panic then I recognize one of the houses. I take a deep breath and walk towards it, it so happens its one of the neighboring houses...thank God.
Groo: I am tiring of the television, so I turn it off and go to the back of the house. I am thankful there is a training room. I take off my shirt and shoes and begin stretching. I am feeling tense and a work out is just the thing. I approach a punching bag and begin to hit and kick it.
Julie: I find the house and sneak around back with no event and was about to walk through the door when I felt a hand on my shoulder. Out of instinct I grabbed the hand and flipped the person over my shoulder slamming him into the ground to see it was Groo. OOPS
Groo: I let out a breath as I am quickly flipped to the ground, looking up at Julie. "Good instincts," I say, standing. "I believe I have worried too much about you," I say softly, kissing her hand.
Julie: I pull back "Don't grab a slayer from behind."
Groo: I feel her pull away and take a step back as well. "I am sorry, you are correct. I should have just called out to you."
Julie: "Its fine" I said "I am going inside." I said turning to walk away again.
Groo: "Julie, wait," I ask, reaching out to grasp her hand. "Are you all right?"
Julie: "Im fine" I said simply as I pulled my hand away. "I am just going inside."
Groo: I release her hand, turning back to the punching bag. "Very well, I shall be in here for a while longer if you desire to be near me."
Julie: My heart broke as he pulled away from me. "I'm sorry." I whispered "I did warn you, you can leave if you want, I am sure there is someone better than me."
Groo: I look at her, confused. "No, no my sweet Julie. There is no where else I desire to be. There is no other person I desire to be with." I take a few steps closer and kneel in front of her. I look up into her eyes, "I am only attempting to honor your wishes, I am trying to give you your space. I want to be near you every moment. I feel as if a part of me is missing when you are away. But I understand you need time for yourself, to adjust to this new life." I hope I am explaining my feelings properly.
Julie: I sigh "I know...and this is something I need to get used to. I will see you inside." I said softly as I turned and walked inside. Unlocking the door and heading to my room, or so I thought, my feet just kind of took me to the kitchen...maybe I could try to eat something...or not. I just stood there frozen instead.
Groo: I continue to work out for several more minutes, deciding I would rather be near her. I take a towel and wipe the sweat from my chest and face, walking to the kitchen to get a glass of water. I see her standing there, as if she is frozen. "My sweet Julie, are you all right?"
Julie: "yeah" I said as I stood there. "Just...thinking." I didn't turn to look at him, didn't even move except to breath and speak.
Groo: I walk past her, kissing her gently on the cheek. "I desire a glass of water, may I get you anything?"
Julie: I don't respond or move, I just stand there staring. It is as if the kitchen scares me.
Groo: I take a long drink from the glass, turning to the refrigerator and pulling some items out to prepare two sandwiches. I do not say anything to her, nor do I look at her as I efficiently put together the sandwiches with meat, lettuce, tomato, and a bit of brown mustard.
Julie: My eyes widen as he makes the sandwiches. "I...I can't eat that" I whisper knowing all to well his plan.
Groo: I smile at her gently. "These are for me, my sweet Julie," I say, turning to pull a large can of soup from the cabinet. "Which should I try, tomato or chicken and stars?"
Julie: I shrug "Depends on which you want to wear." I said honestly
Groo: I smile. "Tomato it is, then." I turn and open the can, pouring it into a pot and turning the stove on to heat it, adding a little water. I wait until it is warm, then serve a large bowl of it. I place the sandwiches on a plate and put a spoon in the bowl, walking to the table.
Julie: I don't move, I don't speak, I just watch.
Groo: After placing the food on the table, I return to Julie, gently lifting her up in my arms and sitting at the table, holding her on my lap.
Julie: "You don't have to do this." I tell him "I will eat when I am ready to."
Groo: I kiss her gently. "I know I am not obligated to do this, I desire to do this for you." I take a bite of one of the sandwiches, then scoop up some of the soup, holding it up to her mouth.
Julie: I shook my head holding my mouth closed.
Groo: I turn her on my lap, her back against the table and press against her forehead, forcing her mouth open as I put the spoon in her mouth, spilling the soup in.
Julie: Angry I spit the soup in his face. "I..I'm sorry" I whisper as I turn to look away.
Groo: I pick up a napkin, wiping the soup from my face. I am more prepared this time. "It is all right," I say, placing another spoonfull of soup in her mouth as she begins to speak again.
Julie: a tear falls as I spit it out again
Groo: I wipe the soup from my face and chest, using my thumb to wipe the tear from her cheek. "It is all right, my sweet Julie," I say, forcing another spoonful into her mouth.
Julie: I spit it out again and force my mouth shut so he can't force more down.
Groo: I wipe the soup from me again, I believe I am going to need another shower when we are finished. I take a large bite from my sandwich and press my fingers between her lips, working it between her teeth to open her mouth slightly. I dump a large spoonful of soup into her mouth, spilling some on her chin as I move my hand and cover her mouth.
Julie: I open my mouth just enough for my teeth to latch on to his hand biting down.
Groo: I hiss as she bites me, but as long as my finger is between her teeth, I can feed her more. I push the pain from my mind and quickly spoon more soup into her mouth.
Julie: what he doesn't realize is that I can also spit it out. I manage to spit out all over his hand and arm.
Groo: I do not bother to wipe the soup away, only concentrating on getting as much nutrition into her small body as I am able. My finger is beginning to throb, but I know she has not broken the skin, it is unimportant. "It is all right," I say softly to her, feeding her more soup.
Julie: I manage to catch him off guard and pull back letting go of his finger and hand and spit the soup in his face. "Just give up" I say then shut my mouth and bury my face in his chest so he can't force any more down.
Groo: I shake my hand as she releases my finger, working the blood back into it. I hold her to my chest, stroking her hair gently. "I will never give up on you, my sweet Julie."
Julie: "Just give up and move on." I say not moving my head. "I..If I eat one bite can we stop this?" I ask longing to run away again.
Groo: "I will not," I say softly. "Two bites and we can stop," I say, hoping she will agree. "But only if you agree not to leave again."
Julie: "I came back" I said "And one bite"
Groo: "I know you did, my sweet Julie. Two bites," I say firmly.
Julie: "One" I said again equally as firm.
Groo: I look into her eyes, "Two, or we shall continue." It is painful for me to force her, but I believe it is the best thing.
Julie: "One is all I am agreeing to. Push me too much and the soup will end up on the floor." I tell him honestly
Groo: "Very well, but a large bite," I say gently. I offer the spoon to her.
Julie: a tear falls as fear washes over me. "I...I lied, I can't." I tell him honestly.
Groo: "Yes, you can," I say, holding her to me. "Please, I do not wish to force you, but I shall if need be."
Julie: "I..Its to scary." I tell him. "M...May I explain without soup being shoved at me?"
Groo: "Of course, my sweet Julie," I say, placing the spoon back in the bowl. I look at her, my full attention on her.
Julie: "H..He found out that I ate at school one day...he beat me." I said as if that explained it all
Groo: I touch her face softly, "I will never harm you, my sweet Julie," I say. "Is there more you desire to speak of?"
Julie: I shake my head and bury my face in his chest again tears falling.
Groo: I speak soft, soothing words to her, stroking her hair gently. "Please believe, I will never harm you, I only want the best for you."
Julie: I don't respond for fear of soup being poured in when I open my mouth.
Groo: "It is all right, you may speak, I will not force you to eat at this moment," I say, kissing her forehead softly.
Julie: "I don't believe you" My head still buried in his chest.
Groo: "You do not believe I will not harm you? Or you do not believe I will not force you to eat at this moment?" I ask softly.
Julie: "The second." I said "I know you won't hurt me...othewise you would be laying dead on the floor."
Groo: "I am glad you trust me. I give you my word, however, that I will not force you to eat right now."
Julie: I look at him "Can we please be done now?"
Groo: I shake my head gently. "I am afraid we cannot. We had an agreement."
Julie: "We did?" I asked "I said I would try...never agreed it would work."
Groo: "That is true, however, I am certain it will work, even if you merely need a bit of help."
Julie: He was distracted enough that I broke free and rushed from the room and into the spare room locking the door.
Groo: I curse in Pylean and run after her. When I discover the door is locked, I run to the training room and grab a rope. I remember that the outside door is locked and close it, locking it behind me. I climb up to the patio that is off of the spare room, it is the only way I can think of that she may leave the house.
Julie: I walk in the bathroom and wash out my mouth. I am bent over the sink when I feel his arms wrap around me and pull me from the bathroom. I let out a loud yell which brought Edward running to see Groo draging me into the kitchen.
Edward: "What the bloody hell is going on here?"
Groo: I pause, unable to imagine how this appears. "I am only attempting to get her to eat. She will not and continues to run away."
Edward: "Ahh" I said as I looked to her. I walk over to her as she is fighting in his arms and crying. My hand caresses her head. "Darling Julie." I whisper "I am afraid he is right...if you won't eat of your own wishes he has to do what he has to...if this goes on too long you would be placed in a hospital and fed through IVs, so it is my only option to allow him to do as he wishes." I turn to Groo "Be gentle...as you can of course."
Groo: I am surprised at his response, but nod. "I will, I have no desire to harm her, ever." I carry her to the table, sitting her down in a chair and tying her hands behind it. It occurs to me that she can still use her feet, so I tie the rope around her ankles to the legs of the chair as well.
Edward: I turn and walk away unable to watch for fear of stopping it.
Julie: I can't believe he let him do this. I decide to yell at Edward "I HATE YOU" not that I meant it.
Edward: I heard her and it broke my heart "I love you darling Julie." whispered as I walked in my room.
Groo: "You do not hate him, he only wants the best for you as I do," I say, forcing her mouth open and putting more soup into it.
Julie: I glared at him as I spit the soup in his face.
Groo: I wipe the soup from my eyes and walk into the kitchen, getting more napkins and filling the bowl with soup again. I walk back and force feed her more.
Julie: I fight the ropes as he goes to get more only to return with more soup. There was more in my mouth which resulted in more on him. as a tear fell
Groo: I lean over and kiss her cheek, "Please, it does not need to be this difficult," I say softly. "I would prefer if you would eat willingly."
Julie: "Don't want to" I said as my body trembled. "I am not hungry."
Groo: "Very well," I say, forcing the spoon into her mouth once again, covering it tightly with my hand.
Julie: Did he not learn from lasttime? I guess not. I bit down on his hand and spit the soup out.
Groo: I hiss again and push my fingers further into her mouth, opening it wider as I push her head back, spooning more soup in.
Julie: I start to choke on the soup when I try to spit it out. It only makes me swallow it. Dammit!
Groo: I pause, ensuring she has not lost her breath, then spoon more in. I feel a tear slip down my cheek, but I know I cannot stop.
Julie: I manage to spit this soup on him, but am growing tired....I could just try to eat, but its so scary.
Groo: I swallow hard, unwilling to relent before I have attempted to feed her all of the soup. I look into her eyes, giving her as loving a look as I can convey. "It is all right, my sweet Julie, I love you," I say, feeding her more.
Julie: I spit it out and pull back as best I can. "May I breath, please?"
Groo: "My sweet Julie, if you were unable to breathe, you would not be able to speak," I say, but pause for a few moments, allowing her a bit of a rest.
Julie: "true..but it was a figure of speech." I explain as tears fell. "M..May I have some water?"
Groo: I wipe the tear from her face and nod, "Of course," I say, turning to get her a glass of cool water from the kitchen. I return and hold it to her lips.
Julie: I drink some down and look away from him, feeling weak."
Groo: "Thank you for drinking that," I say softly. "Are you ready to eat again?"
Julie: I started to shake more now. "I..I'm scared." I whispered
Groo: I stroke her face gently, rubbing my thumb across her lips. "I know, sweet Julie. Please believe me, there is no need to be."
Julie: "I..If I promise not to run will you untie me?"
Groo: "Will you also finish the soup?" I ask softly.
Julie: "I...I don't know" I said "I..I can try one bite at a time....I guess...though you do look good covered in tomato soup."
Groo: I smile and chuckle, "I believe that is an acceptable agreement," I say, moving to release her legs and then her hands. "Are you injured?" I ask softly.
Julie: "It hurts a litte, but I will be ok." I said as I stiffen at the thought of eating. "W..What if he finds out."
Groo: I touch her hand softly. "He cannot. He is no longer in this life, my sweet Julie."
Julie: "B..But he could come back...I mean it has happened. Buffy came back."
Groo: "The situation with Buffy was quite different. She suffered an unnatural death, a death by supernatural means. Willow was able to recall her from such a state. He... He did not," I say, not wanting to be harsh. No matter what trauma he has caused her, he was still her father.
Julie: "A..Are we sure he is dead?" I asked. "I mean...we weren't there...we didn't see it."
Groo: I nod, "I am certain, however, if you desire, we can contact Angel, I am sure he remained to ensure the, um, job was completed."
Julie: I shake my head scared. "C..Can't."
Groo: "Cannot what, Julie? I will contact him if you desire, there is no need for you to speak with him directly."
Julie: I shake my head scared "N...No."
Groo: "Please, speak to me, I am not understanding your fear," I say softly.
Julie: "I..I don't either." I said "W..What if he says that they didn't kill him....what do I do then?"
Groo: I look into her eyes, "Then I would finish it," I say softly.
Julie: "B...But what if he takes you away from me."
Groo: I hold both of her hands, kissing them. "There is no power in this dimension that could take me from you."
Julie: "Death could."
Groo: I nod, "That is true, however, I will not be departing from this life for many years. I plan to die with the woman I love while we are surrounded by fat great grandchildren."
Julie: I giggle for the first time...well in days. "You think I can give that to you?"
Groo: I blush and dip my head a bit. "I believe you can, if you choose. I would be honored."
Julie: "Would you show me what it is like when not paid for?" I ask
Groo: I blush deeper, "Do you mean to make love?"
Julie: "Y..Yes."
Groo: I look into her eyes. "I would be honored, but I do not believe our relationship has grown to that point."
Julie: "O...Ok" I whispered as I looked away.
Groo: I look a bit confused. "Did you mean right now?"
Julie: "No...I..I just thought that meant you didn't want me."
Groo: "Julie, no. It does not mean I do not desire you. I do, you are a very beautiful young woman and I love you. I simply want to ensure that it is something we both desire equally."
Julie: "And right now you don't desire it?"
Groo: I blush and shake my head. "It is not that, I desire you, but I want it to be perfect, to be special. I want to make love to you," I say, my ears burning with my embarrassment.
Julie: I blush "Really?" I ask melting
Groo: I feel as if my entire head is red and hot. "Yes, my sweet Julie," I say, forcing myself to look up into her eyes.
Julie: "W..Will it make things better if I try to eat?" I ask. "I mean..would you want me then?"
Groo: I smile at her. "I desire you now, but it would make things better if you try to eat," I say gently.
Julie: "I...I could try..." I said then started to panic at the sight of taking my own spoon in my hand.
Groo: I wrap my hand gently around hers, steadying the spoon in her hand. "I would be glad to assist you," I say softly.
Julie: I drop the spoon "I...I can't." tears fall.
Groo: I wipe the tears from her face. "All you need to do is open your mouth and swallow."
Julie: "Its the getting the spoon there in the first place that scares me."
Groo: "I can do that, my sweet Julie," I say gently, picking the spoon up and putting it back in the bowl.
Julie: "M...May I sit on your lap?" I ask softly
Groo: "Of course, my sweet Julie," I say, picking her up and sitting the the chair, pulling onto my lap. "Is this sufficient?"
Julie: I rest my head on his shoulder as tears fall. "You promise no one will beat me?"
Groo: "No one will lay a hand on you, I promise this."
Julie: He puts the spoon to my lips and I take the bite my whole body shuddering in sheer terror of what might happen.
Groo: I gently remove the spoon from her mouth, smiling widely as she swallows. "I am so proud of you," I say gently.
Julie: tears fall "T..Th...Thank you."
Groo: I lean forward and kiss her lips gently, "No, thank you for trusting me."
Julie: "I..I'm scared." I said again as I felt my stomach turning.
Groo: "There is no need, my sweet Julie, I am here. There will be no harm that comes to you." I lift the spoon to her mouth again.
Julie: I pull back again "And....You promise I am not in trouble if I eat this?”
Groo: I smile. "You will not get in trouble if you eat every piece of food in this house," I say gently.
Julie: I took the bite again as I began to sob.
Groo: I stroke her cheek gently, holding her to me. I speak soft, reassuring words to her, hoping it helps. "You are doing very well, my sweet Julie," I say, offering her another bite.
Julie: I take another bite and it is just too much. "I.....I can't do anymore...please" I said softly
Groo: I nod after she takes the spoonfull. "I understand. It is difficult to eat when you are unaccustomed to it." I smile and take a napkin, gently wiping her mouth. "I am very proud of your bravery, my sweet Julie."
Julie: "I...I will clean" I said as I immediatly stood and started to clean the dining area.
Groo: "Julie, it can wait if you desire," I say to her as she clears the table.
Julie: "I..I need to." I said as I finish cleaning.
Groo: I nod and watch her, quickly eating my sandwiches. "I believe I will take a shower now," I say as I carry the plate to her in the kitchen, kissing her lightly.
Julie: I take the plate from him and put it in the dishwasher as well as the rest of the dishes. "Do what you need to."
Groo: I wrap my arms around her waist from behind, kissing her cheek gently. "Well, I somehow managed to get tomato soup all over me," I tease.
Julie: "It must be from the girl you tried to force feed it to." I said softly
Groo: I chuckle and hug her tight before stepping away. "Must be. I shall return shortly," I say, kissing her cheek again as I turn and head up the stairs to shower.
Julie: I stand there longing to ask him if I could help clean the soup off...I have seen it in shows, but...I don't, it isn't right so I just stand there.
Groo: I shower quickly, cleaning the sticky soup from my body and hair. I exit the shower, drying off as I dress, then walking back down the stairs to search for Julie.
Julie: I am still standing in the kitchen, oddly only because I have no clue what to do.
Groo: I approach her, still standing in the kitchen. It appears that she has not even moved. "My sweet Julie, why are you still standing here?"
Julie: "I..I didn't know what else to do.
Groo: I turn her to face me, embracing her. "You may do anything you please. Have you ever watched television before? It can be somewhat entertaining at times."
Julie: "I have never watched tv...ok well once in Edward's office, but....it was some cheesy soap opera..."
Groo: I chuckle, "I do not approve of such programming. Perhaps we could watch something different? Or anything you wish."
Julie: I shake my head "I..I don't want to." I said "I just...I don't know."
Groo: "Then will you sit with me?" I ask, tugging her hand gently toward the living room.
